Each year the Club provides two scholarships to the La Trobe University Engineering Faculty to support two students with their academic studies. This has proved very successful in assisting regional and metropolitan based students studying Engineering at the Bendigo Campus.

One Scholarship is valued at $1000 ( financed jointly by the Club and the Peter Ryall Trust ) and the other Scholarship is valued at $2000 (financed by a Club Member donation). The challenge is to assist students to attend and remain at University so as to complete their studies.

Each Recipient also attends a Club Meeting to address members and make a presentation.

Each year the Club provides 4 scholarships to Bendigo TAFE to support and recognise 4 students with their studies. The Scholarships are in 4 Categories:

 – Apprentice of the Year

 – Inspirational Student of the Year

 – Student of the Year: Baking

 – Aunty Melva Johnston Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year

This is proving very successful in assisting students with their studies at the Bendigo TAFE and completing their Apprenticeships.

The scholarships are valued at $500 and are financed jointly by the Rotary Club of Bendigo South and the Peter Ryall Trust. The Devereaux Family finances the Bakery Scholarship in memory of long time Club Member the late Ron Devereaux.
