ROTARY CLUB OF BENDIGO SOUTH SUPPORTS MENTAL HEALTH

The club recently conducted a major raffle within the Bendigo community to raise funds to support mental health in Central Victoria. Moronis Bikes helped sponsor the prizes, which in itself was aimed at supporting mental health.

During the project, members sold raffle tickets at various outlets in Bendigo and gained an insight into what is meant by support for mental health from the community.

The end result of the raffle was that $6000 was raised. $3000 was donated to Lifeline to support Bendigo programs and $3000 was donated to support Lifeline Bendigo and Mallee regions. The project also provided the opportunity for Rotary members to get to know each other and also for the general community to see Rotary in action.
