Wheelchairs for Kids

The Wheelchairs for Kids (WFK) program made its Bendigo debut on Friday at the California Gully Primary School. The students spent time in the wheelchairs doing laps of the oval and also experienced what it would be like to be confined to a wheelchair.

One of the aims of the program is to raise money to build more wheelchairs to send to overseas countries. We will find out next week the level of success of funds raised towards this project.

The program created interest with other Rotary Clubs in Bendigo and we hope to expand it into more schools in 2024.
