A Concert for the Community
May 16 2017The Rotary Club of Bendigo South is again presenting a major musical concert at Bendigo’s renowned Ulumbarra Theatre.
Taking to the stage this year will be ‘Carols by Candlelight’ regular and principal performer, Sylvie Paladino, to be accompanied by the Victorian Male Welsh Choir. Building on the successes of a similar concert held in 2015, the concert will also play host to Rotary Club of Bendigo South musical bursary recipients and Bendigo Senior Secondary College Musicians of the Year, Aidan Purdy and Deanna Jerman.
Building upon the Rotary Club of Bendigo South’s motto of ‘connecting with the community’, the concert is held to not only raise funds for musical scholarships, but also to provide much needed audio visual equipment and other theatre apparatus for community groups using the Ulumbarra Theatre complex. This is a strong partership between the Rotary Club of Bendigo South and the City of Greater Bendigo, with a similar concert in 2015 providing a comprehensive set of portable public address equipment to be used in the theatre.
If the thought of attending the concert to hear such musical talent in not enough, large groups and friends are encouraged to book packaged tickets. A new ticketing option for groups of 10+ allows guests to save $10 and obtain their ticket for only $45.
So why not come along and book your ticket for a great afternoon out, complete with entertainment, all while supporting a truly worthy cause.
