Former Premier visits our club

August 1 2015

Club members and guests this Thursday welcomed Former Federal Member for Bendigo and Victorian Premier, John Brumby and his wife Rosemary to our Rotary meeting.

For Rosemary, it was an unexpected surprise for her to catch up with one of her old school friends, Betty Plant.

For the rest of us, we heard about what a Former State Premier gets up to once they leave office. And boy, what a busy yet productive job it is!

Mr Brumby quite regularly visits China for work, as well as lecturing at both Melbourne and Monash Universities.

It was also good to hear about Mr Brumby’s time working in Bendigo, and how he enjoys returning to the City when he can.

There were a large number of guests in attendance at the meeting. What a great night it was had by all!

Guests are always welcome to attend our Club meetings and to hear our guest speakers talk.
